In fact, there is no "best" that is universally applicable. The one that can adapt to your child's dietary structure and physical condition is a good and suitable choice. I have been working as a nutrition guide for children for almost 4 years, and I have met too many parents who ask for "the most expensive and best children's milk" from the very beginning. Last week, a mother came to me with two boxes of internet celebrity milk, saying that she spent more than 300 yuan to buy it. Can she give it to her 2 and a half year old baby to drink every day? Looking through the ingredients list, raw milk was ranked first, but it contained 8g of added sugar per 100ml and also had food flavors. Her baby was already at risk of dental caries, so drinking this would do more harm than good. It would be better to drink ordinary whole milk.
There is indeed a lot of controversy on the Internet about children's milk. Some people say that it is all an IQ tax, which is ordinary milk with some sugar and additives to coax children, and it is sold at twice the price of pure milk. Some people say that with the addition of DHA, calcium, and vitamin D, it has a higher nutritional density and is more suitable for growing babies. In fact, both of these opinions are not wrong, but their standpoints are different.
If you're not sure how to choose, you don't have to look at the marketing words like "grow taller" or "beautiful" on the package. Just turn to the back and read the ingredient list. The first place in the row of raw milk is the basic threshold. If it says water, white sugar, and milk powder on the front, it is essentially a milk drink. Don't use it as daily milk for your baby. My downstairs neighbor’s grandma has been through this trap before. She saw a supermarket promotion where she bought one, got one free, and the baby’s favorite Super Wings was printed on the package, so she moved it home. The baby drank it every day. After drinking it for two months, she gained three pounds in weight. During the physical examination, the doctor said that there were already signs of tooth decay, and I found out that the milk she drank was not genuine milk at all.
If your child is usually a picky eater and eats little fish, shrimp, eggs, and the daily intake of DHA and calcium does not meet the recommended amount, it is perfectly fine to choose a regular brand of children's milk formula with these nutrients added. As long as the added sugar content does not exceed the standard, it is better than the child lacking nutrients; Oh, yes, there are lactose-intolerant babies, so don’t force yourself on regular pure milk. Choose low-lactose or zero-lactose children’s milk. The key is to avoid gas and diarrhea after drinking it, and to be able to absorb the nutrients in the milk.
In fact, choosing children's milk is like choosing a coat for your baby. An Internet celebrity model that looks good on others may not be suitable for your baby. If your baby is already warm enough, there is no need to buy that expensive model with a lot of useless decorations. It is enough to fit well and meet the needs. If you are really confused, buy a small package for your baby to try first. If you don’t feel uncomfortable after drinking it and the ingredient list is clean, then it is ok. There is no need to blindly follow the trend and buy popular products recommended by others.
